If I could go anywhere in the world on vacation, I most definitely would love to go to Europe!!! I've never been there at all in my whole life and have seen so many travel shows in Europe, that I must do a tour there at least once! I want to meet new people, find a new romance, see the beautiful and historical sites, try to speak the foreign languages, eat the real and authentic cuisine and just chill. I'm sure I'll love it!!! Thanks!

First off, Happy Blogoversary!
I've always wanted to go to Lake Como in Italy. It seems so beautiful and serene. While I was in the neighborhood, of course, I would have to see the rest of Italy and maybe even cruise across the Mediterranean and say hello to some friends in the Middle East!
Now I will answer Question #1: Ted Dekker's trilogy of Black, Red, and White are incredible. The books take place split between two worlds or realities and there is something about the characters' relationships with their creator on the 'made-up' world that inspires and challenges me. I recommend these books to anyone and especially those who enjoyed C.S. Lewis' Sci Fi trilogy. :) (Excuse me, I believe my librarianistic ways may be showing...) *Note: somehow my earlier post was cut-off, so Meg said she'd just count me as #2 for the contest. :)
It's so hard to choose just one place I'd love to go! I have 2 places that my heart would love to go-one being The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs and the second-the Holy Lands. The Broadmoor is BEAUTIFUL-both the hotel as well as the setting. It has wonderful memories as well of our family being there on vacation 1 year. (plus they're suppose to have a great spa! :))
Second, I've always had a hearts desire to stand in the place where Jesus possibly stood-to see what he saw. I know of course that it has changed over thousands of years but still to just go, see and reflect-ponder what it was like....
:Now that you've given me the travel bug by dreaming there's many more places I'd love to go......
What fun another contest! Just want to wish you all good luck and happy Blogoveracy! We enjoyed our prize last month--a delicious meal at Out Back! Just for fun I'll say , I would love to travel to Greece & the islands, esp.Santorini --where there are the most beautiful sunsets! While I was still in the area why not see Italy & the Holy Land, too. It is nice to dream! (I'm bowing out this time)

I'd like to sail around the Mediterranean on a private yacht, visiting (at least) Italy, Greece, Turkey, the Holy Land, and Egypt.
Hey, where's the rest of my post? Only the first line made it??!! I was saying the it would be nice to add Spain, southern France and Morocco to the trip. Time spent on land would be to immerse myself in the sights, sounds, tastes and culture of each country, and time spent on board would be spent to relax and enjoy serene waters and gorgeous sunsets.
oh, I'm just going to make it....where would I go....I want to go everywhere...I'd love to see the 7 wonders of the world...the great china wall, the falls in Africa...I' have always wanted to go to Italy and study art and taste the wine and get to know the people and the culture. I also would love to go to the Holy lands...and be able to see scriptures come alive, the richness and fascination of seeing the roots of our faith. And I think it would be so neat to see a land and a culture that is so unique from the states and so completely different.
I'd want to go to Finland, because that's where my mom's family is from. My grandma keeps in touch with some relatives there, but I don't know any of them.

Happy Blogoversary!

The book that has most impacted me is Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult. It's about bullying and school violence, which touched home to me because I've done projects on the subject and learned a lot about some of the victims. Usually there is a clear victim when a murder happens, but in this case, all of them are. I found it really depressing that this is still happening in the world.
